I’m sat here staring (with mouth open) at a series of potential season ending shots and wondering how the talent in front of the camera has managed to nail that trick, again! I begin to think about the talent on the other side of the lens.
As a designer/photographer/film maker you often become a silent witness to the success of the brand or business as a result of the popularity of your hard work. Trying to ‘get the shot’ isn’t as simple as it sounds, it takes devotion, creativity and most importantly warm gloves.
Having spent many years in the design industry working with photographers and film makers you begin to understand that the satisfaction of the craft is in publishing projects and sharing what you see with as many people as possible.
In an attempt to highlight some of the many talented image makers in the outdoor industry we’re opening our bookmarks and asking some of our favourite photographers to step out from behind the lens to help us understand what it takes to be a sports photographer.
Over the next few months we’ll be posting photographers profiles on our blog, images on Facebook and links on Twitter trying our best to give these unsung heroes some of the spotlight whilst sharing their energy, passion and insights.
